Trail Talk – 8/25/22

It’s been an awesome summer:. Summer Camp, Boundary Waters and Mammoth Cave.  In just a couple  of weeks School starts. But scouting is always there.

Here is a brief schedule for the next few weeks:

Tuesday August 16 finishing up on summer merit badges at the troop meeting.

Saturday August 20 is our Troop work day. from 10Am to about 3pm. We will be organizing the garage and our equipment. Plus building a new shed and putting a new floor in the scout room. Everyone needs to help with this to prepare the troop for the new year.

Tuesday August 23 there will be a leadership meeting from 6pm to 9pm at the church pavilion. We will be making plans for the coming year. other troop leadership position. No regular troop meeting.

We will be electing  new SPL’S and other positions. Plus we’ll be starting with a new set of Eagle Merit Badges.

Tuesday September 6 is our regular meeting

Tuesday September 13 is our regular meeting

Tuesday Sept 20 Will be the Troop Open House. every scout needs to

bring someone to the meeting and have them join our Troop. We will be serving hot dogs and chips.

September 24 Campout with Troop 287. It was a blast last year and I am sure it will be again this year.

Other items of interest:

Pop cans and bottles have slowed down a lot, we need your help to bring in those pop cans and bottles to support the troop general fund

We are selling Fair Trade coffee. you can pick up an order sheet and sell them to your neighbors, friends and co-workers. Also we do have some in stock in our trading post.All Monies need to be collected when you sell the product, When you turn in a sheet we will process the order. All profits go to the troop’s general fund.

Popcorn sale starts. Sell Popcorn to add money to your scout account.

SEABASE 2023: THERE WAS A PAYMENT DUE OF $300 ON AUGUST 1 AND ANOTHER PAYMENT DUE ON OCTOBER 1. PLEASE PAY THESE PAYMENTS WHEN DUE AS WE NEED TO PAY SEABASE. IF YOU SIGNED UP AND CHANGED YOUR PLANS PLEASE LET ME KNOW AS WE HAVE 3 PEOPLE ON THE WAITING LIST.

The trading post has been restocked. you need a new shirt, Hoodie or mug come on in.
