Trail Talk – 6/7/21

Tuesday June 8, Sherry Evans and I (Hank) will not be at the meeting on Tuesday June 8 so that we can attend the pre-summer camp meeting in Toledo, Ohio.  Brian  Poppen and Jim Gluys will be Taking the paperwork for the Pentwater campout and any Physical forms still due.

ALL PHYSICAL FORMS MUST BE TURNED IN NO EXCEPTIONS. FOR PHILMONT AND SUMMER CAMP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

At the meeting tomorrow T21 will continue to work on their rank advancements.
Any scout who has not completed merit badges from the last three sessions can ask each counselor to help finish up on those Merit badges.
If as a group of scouts want to work on a Merit badge Please see Brian for approval.

Pentwater campout: cost $35 Please turn in your permission form and fees on Tuesday June 8. Bring extra money if you plan to ride go-karts, play mini-golf or arcades, they also have a general store on the property. We leave Friday at 5pm.

Mini-High adventure. sign up now for this awesome trip to the UP of Michigan, Cost is $175 per person, some of the activities include, the Picture rock boat ride. Tahquamenon falls, possible Mackinaw Island. Money due by June 29, 2021. all ages can go.

*****IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR 2021-2022 FEES******
National and Michigan Crossroad council will increase the fee $14 per scout for a amount of $145. Scout leaders will be $60.
The troop has been collected $145 for the pass several years AND WE ARE NOT INCREASING THAT FEE. YOU WILL PAY THE SAME AMOUNT AS IN THE PAST.

Because what started out as a fundraiser to keep our Merit badge library up to date and the tremendous success of people bringing in cans and bottles for deposits we ask that you can continue with that program. This will help the troop offset the prices on some of the activities for the scouts and also for equipment for the troop. Since last November we have collected over $8000 which has greatly helped out the scout program for the troop. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR SUPPORT. Plus each scout that deposits cans or bottles gets to keep 30% of the deposit for their own scout acct.

Starting next week June 15 we will be meeting in the Church gym. Please do not sit where the pre-school tables and chairs are. we will be starting our meetings in the gym, go to our sessions in classrooms and return for game time in the gym. Its starting to act normal again, But wear a mask if you have not been vaccinated in the church.
