Trail Talk – 5/28/18

First a big thank you to everyone that either helped out on the Eagle Court on Saturday or the Memorial Day parade on Monday or both. Its been a busy few weeks and its not about to slow down. Troop 244 DOES MORE!!!!!

Tuesday meeting May 29. during the summer months the Class A uniform will not have to be worn to the troop meetings. The troop red shirt or any BOY SCOUT T-SHIRT CAN BE WORN.
We are finishing up on some of the Eagle merit badges. scouts who have completed the Eagle required Merit badges may work on a non-required merit badge. we would like each Patrol to select a merit badge to work on this summer during the troop meetings. Please see Hank for approval.

Sheery sent our a email regarding Physicals for summer camp if you have not completed the forms please turn them in ASAP and no later than June 5th.
Please double check next to your name on Sherrys email and see what you need to complete.

The Pentwater campout is this weekend June 1-3. Permission form attached. Cost is $25 per person. We Leave Friday at 5pm sharp and return on Sunday at 1:30pm. some of the activites include ($$0 bring extra money)
Swimming in a heated pool
Go Karts$$
Miniature golf$$
Vedio game room$$
Lunch money for the trip home on Sunday$$
Fishing no license required this weekend free fishing weekend by the DNR
5 minute drive to Lake Michigan beach Mears State Park
You can play basketball
They do have a ice cream shop$$
They also have a camp store$$

This campout is meant to be a relaxing weekend for everyone. we have reserved 5 campsites, tent camping.

June 8-10 for those going to Philmont there is a shakedown campout. PLease arrive at Rota-Kiwan about 7pm friday Night. we should be done on Sunday about 8:30am. all participants must have thier own ride to camp.

June 24-30 Summer Camp. we will leave from Portage Central middle school. Please meet at the school by 10:30am. we leave at 11:00am on Sunday June 24 and return Saturday June 30 at the church about 11:30am
