SUMMER CAMP 2023:
Sherry Evans sent out a reminder about t-shirt sizes for Summer camp and Seabase. Double check your size and let Sherry know if it is the wrong size, The t-shirt orders will go in tomorrow.
Dr. Curvelo will not be doing physicals this week, however he will be here next week May 2nd at 7pm.
Any changes to the merit badge request please let Sherry know ASAP. Your schedule will be handed out tonight.
ALL PHYSICALS FOR SUMMER CAMP AND SEABASE MUST BE TURNED IN BY MAY 16, 2023.
FORT CUSTER CAMPOUT MAY 19-21, 2023:
The may campout will be at Fort Custer may10-21, 2023 instead of chippewa landing. Mainly because of the cold water and safety.
At Fort Custer bring your fishing poles and tackle, also you can bring your bikes with helmets to this event..
Cost is $40 per person. Tenting only no cabins.
ADOPT-A-HIGHWAY:
APRIL 29 AT 9AM. MEET AT THE CAR WASH NEXT TO SPEEDWAY GAS STATION IN SCHOOLCRAFT. WEAR LONGPANTS, HAT AND BRING GLOVES JIM GLUYS WILL BE THE ADULT LEADER IN CHARGE. EVERYONE 12 OR OLDER AR REQUESTED TO HELP. THIS WILL GIVE YOU CREDIT FOR A CONSERVATION PROJECT AND YOU CAN APPLY THIS FOR SCHOOL AS AN ACT OF VOLUNTEERING..WEWILLBE FINISHED AT NOON.
WE NEED PARENTS TO DRIVE.
WILDERNESS FIRST AID CERTIFICATION COURSE:
fOR THE ADULTS GOING TO SEABASE THE WILDERNESS FIRST AID CLASS WILL BE HELD ON MAY 6 9AM TO 7P SUNDAY MAY 7 9AM TO 2PM. PLEASE DO NOT WEAR YOUR BEST CLOTHES YOU WILL GET DIRTY. THE CLASS WILL BE LOCATED AT
2723 VANDERBILT AVE PORTAGE. SATURDAY LUNCH AND DINNER WILL BE PROVIDED AND SUNDAY LUNCH.
AS A REMINDER ADULTS MUST BE REGISTERED WITH THE BSA.YOU MUST TAKE THE FOLLOWING COURSES:
- YOUTH PROTECTION
- SAFETY AFLOAT
- SAFE SWIM DEFENSE
- WEATHER HAZARD
