Trail Talk – 3/27/18

Tonight there will be a selection for scouts who are eligible for the Order of the Arrow. fellow scouts will select from a list of names and select all or anyone they feel meets the requirements and the scout spirit. Eligible requirements are: Be a First Class scout and spends 15 nights in a tent, including a week long adventure (summer camp).

Tonight those scouts who are First class and above will select a New Eagle Badge to work on. The group working on the First aid Merit badge will continue in this session. These session will go to June.

THERE WILL BE NO TROOP MEETING NEXT WEEK DURING SPRING BREAK

April 17,2018 will be our summer camp meeting starting at 7pm. All parents and scouts who are going to summer camp must attend this meeting. The final payment is due at this time. Total cost for camp is $340 for scouts and $170 for leaders. All leaders and parents going to camp must be registered in scouting and have taken the Youth Protection course, Plus everyone must have a physical prior to camp. Forms are available.
Scouts will be selecting what Merit badges they would like to work on. first Year scouts are recommended to take swimming and a handicraft merit badge, as they will be working on rank advancements during camp also. Merit badge available there will be a form for the scouts to seelct from. these will be available at the troop meetings.

If anyone know of a Doctor and PA that can do sports physicals please have them contact me.(Hank)

April 27-29 the troop will be going to camp Pioneer to do our service project at the campsite we are staying in for Summer Camp.
We need a lot of help as many dead trees were cut down and we need to clean it up. THERE IS NO CHARGE FOR THIS CAMPOUT. you will receive service hours for your help. We do need to know who is coming so we can plan properly for the food. please sign up at the table by the scout room Thanks
