Trail Talk – 10/24/23

REGISTRATION 2024

We are in the process of rechartering for the year 2024. All fees are due November 1st 2023.

Fees are as follows:

• Youth ,,,,,,,,,$200. The fee pays for Michigan Crossroads Council $80, National fee $80 and Troop 244 General fund $40. Total $200
• Adult fee ….$100. this pays National and Michigan crossroads fees of $80, and $20 Troop 244 General fund.

When an adult registered and paid the fee the adult weekend camping is free, if the fee is $40 or less. if the fee is $50 the camp fee will be $10. This should cover weekend campout fees. This does not apply to high adventure camping such as Philmont or Mini High adventure.

If funds are a concern Please talk to Hank as we can help out the fee schedule. All Scouts should be able to be in the scouts and the troop can work with them if needed…

All adult leaders must be registered to be active in the troop, this would include a background check, Youth Protection.

HAUNTED FOREST CAMPOUT:

The campout is  this weekend at Verhage farms.  We will be displaying a Halloween scene for cub scouts to have some fun.

All of our scouts should bring makeup or a costume to wear during the display..

We will leave the church on Friday Oct. 27 at 5:30pm and return Sunday Oct. 29 at 10am.

They do have a souvenir shop available.

POPCORN SALES ENDING

ALL POPCORN ORDERS ARE  DUE TONIGHT OCTOBER 24. ALSO ANY MONEY YOU COLLECTED.

NEXT CAMPOUT:

Our next campout is November 10-11, 2023 at Camp Tamarack. There is a cabin available or you may tent. This will be a joint campout with Troop287.
